Schutt Industries, the leading manufacturer of trailers for the U.S. Military, has been awarded a $55.1M contract to build approximately 3,000 M200A1 tactical trailers over the next six years, starting in 2025 and running through 2030. These trailers will be manufactured at the company’s facilities in Clintonville, WI.

The M200-series tactical trailer chassis is designed, engineered, and manufactured for transporting a variety of medium power systems, such as the U.S. Army’s 15, 30, and 60 kW Advanced Medium Mobile Power Sources (AMMPS) generators. Highly customizable, the M200 has a 2½-ton payload capacity and can be integrated with custom enclosures and housings for maximum versatility. Other features include a semi-elliptical steel alloy leaf spring suspension, 24-volt electrical system with blackout and convoy light, air over hydraulic brakes, mechanical parking brakes, and anti-lock brakes (ABS).
